Becoming a Thespian

Anyone is welcome in the Woodlands High School Theater Department, but dedicated members may be interested in becoming official thespians. A thespian is a member of the International Thespian Society, and can earn patches, cords, and stoles to wear at graduation!

Every theater event that a student participates in earns them Thespian Points. Earning 10 Thespian Points means that a student can be officially inducted into the ITS! But there are some rules, the 10 points must be earned in one of two ways:

  • By serving in a technical position on at least two shows
  • Or by acting in one show and serving in a technical position on another
Any remaining points can be earned through speech tournaments, acting in another show, or a myriad of other possibilities!
After the initial 10 points have been earned, students can accrue more points to earn more honors from the ITS.

Bi-Laws

Once inducted as a Thespian, there are specific rules of Troupe 1053 you must follow. Please read the attachment below for all of these Bi-Laws!
